At 1900 hrs this evening the Solomons Volunteers hosted a lecture by Mr. William Howie from the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland on the operations of the Go Team. Close to 50 plus members from both Calvert and Saint Marys volunteer Fire and Ems services attended. The lecture focused on the use of the shock trauma center's Go Team which travels by air or ground all over the state to accident scenes or collapses that require more then a hour long extrication. Everyone that attended this lecture gained very useful information about the quality of care we can further provide our patients in their time of need. The Solomons Volunteers would like to thank Mr. Howie for taking his time on a weekday to drive down from Baltimore to present this valuable lecture to the members of our counties.
