At 1500 hours Calvert Control alerted Solomons units to Local Box 301 at 85 Charles St in Solomons for the boat fire. As units marked up additional information was received by Calvert Control Center that the boat was actually docked in the marina across form the Tiki Bar and was well involved with exposures problems. Chief 3 upgraded the assignment to the Marina Fire response adding the Solomons Fire boat and surrounding companies from Calvert and St Mary's. Engine 31 and the Chief arrived shortly after taking their own water supply and went to work making a quick knock down and contained the fire to the vessel of origin. The Fire boat assisted with extinguishment and overhaul of the vessel. Units operated for about 1 hour assisting the owner with his belongings from the cabin of the vessel. The cause was determined to be faulty electrical wiring.
