At approximately 1147 hrs volunteers were alerted to a kitchen fire on Cheyenne Trail. Promptly volunteers manned Engine 34 and Ambulance 38 to respond to the location. Upon arrival it was found that a cooking oil fire had flared up and a small fire had extended into the walls and upper cabinets. Engine 34's crew pulled an 1 3/4" line and extinguish the fire. Volunteers remained on scene for approximately 2 hours cleaning up hot spots and overhauling the location. The displaced citizens are currently being helped by the Red Cross.
