The members of Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Department woke up early Saturday morning to support and participate in the Calvert Health Foundation's 8th Annual Run/Walk for the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care. During the event, our members were on call if needed to provide much needed EMS support. In addition, for the past few years during the month of Sept., the department has designed and sold Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts. Upon conclusion of the Run/Walk, President Pardoe presented a check from this years shirt sale proceeds to the Calvert Health Foundation. Just another way our members are giving back to the community.
