Golden West Way Fire

At 1340 hours units from Solomons as well as surrounding stations were dispatched to the area of Golden West Way and Catalina Drive for a reported porch on fire. Moments after dispatch Chief 10 (CALS) arrived on the scene to find a single story A-Frame home with fire throughout the residence. Engine 33 arrived on location and established water supply from the nearby hydrant. The crew from Engine 33 made a initial knock on the fire from the exterior of side Alpha until the next arriving engine crew assisting with putting a knock on the fire from the interior. During operations two fire fighters were injured as well as a civilian. All were transported to the local hospital for evaluation and treatment. Units operated on the scene assisting the Fire Marshal for four hours before clearing.
