At approximately 2233 hrs 911 dispatch received a phone call from an alarm company stating that a home at 211 Sailboat Court was fully involved. Quickly Solomons, St Leonard, Prince Frederick, Huntington, Hollywood, Bay District, Leonardtown, Medic Unit, and the south duty chief were dispatched to the scene. As Chief 3 approached the scene it was determined that defensive operations would be the only mode of attack for this call. Engine 33 and Engine 72 were the first arriving units to the scene and quickly deployed attack lines to attempt to get a quick knock on the fire. Soon after Truck 3 arrived and began setup for ladder pipe operations in order to reach the center of the structure and attempt to get a good knock at the base of the fire. After approximately an hour and a half the fire was placed under control. Companies from Solomons and St. Leonard remained on scene while other units cleared to continue to overhaul the structure and clear out any hot spots that were found. All units cleared and went in service at approximately 0330 hrs.
