Cardiac Arrest Survivor Family Visits July Monthly Business Meeting

On the morning of June 30th SVRSFD was dispatched for a cardiac arrest in our first due. Engine 34 and Ambulance 37 responded with 7 personal along with CALS Medic 105 to the address on Rousby Hall Road. Units found citizen who had a witnessed cardiac arrest. Personal initiated CPR and other live saving measures. Working as a team with the medic the patient was revived and transported to the landing zone so the patient could be transported to Southern Maryland Hospital for further treatment. We are happy to report the patient is on the road to recovery and the family came to the July monthly business meeting to thank the members for the dedicated service. We are so happy to see the gentleman on the road to recovery and all of the volunteers are proud to serve the community the best we can.
