At approximately 1925 hours Calvert Control sounded Area Box 310 for the working house fire. The Crew from Solomons responded with 2 engine companies, a ladder crew and a EMS unit with 26 personnel. Units arrived on location to find a rambler on a basement with an attached garage with fire throughout and extention to a vehicle in the drive way. Crews from Solomons made an aggressive interior attack dispite high heat and 0 visiability as well as having to overcome 2 burnt through hoselines. Engine 31 arrived and provided backup support to crews on the interior and ensure a water supply. Within in minutes crews had the majority of fire knocked down and under control as other neighboring departments began to arrive. The Crews from Solomons and other Mutual Aid companies operated completeing extensive overhaul of the residence. Command was terminated in just under 3 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
