Today the Solomons Volunteers were officially awarded a grant from Maryland Institute Emergency Medical Services System (MIEMSS) to be used towards finishing the replacement of AEDs units within our department. The department is currently replacing old ZOLL AEDS with newer Lifepak 1000 units which are more suitable and compatible with other departments within our community. These AED units will allow us as providers the ability to provide top notch care to everyone within our community at all times. The department would like thank MIEMSS, the State of MD, and local county officials for their assistance and help with getting this grant.
