Working House in Drum Point

During our areas first major snow event of the year units from Solomons and surrounding companies were alerted to 324 The Bitter End Drum Point for a reported chimney fire. First arriving unit Chief 3 reported a 2 story contemporary with fire showing from the Charlie side and heavy smoke conditions on the interior. Upon arrival of E33 and Truck3 (Solomons) the crew quickly deployed a crosslay and made short work of the fire containing it with minimal extension to the residence as the Truck3 opened up and ladder the building. E72 and SQ7 (St Leonard) were assigned to the basement division were they found minor extension into the basement ceiling.The box was held to Company 3 and 7 units only. Units operated on the scene for about 2 hours. .
