2115 hours as Calvert County Sheriff officers were on routine patrol in the Lusby area and stumbled across what appeared to be a woods fire. After further investigation they realized it was actually an abandoned dwelling on fire. After radio communication to dispatch, Calvert Control alerted units from Solomons and other surrounding companies at 2118 to 12531 Olivet Rd in Lusby for the working house fire. Units from Solomons responded with E31, E34, Tanker 3 the Truck and Amb. 37 with 27 personnel. First arriving E31 reported heavy fire showing from the rear of a 2 story cape cod and quickly advanced a long line to go to work. Truck 3 officer Lt3 made a quick risk assessment from the exterior advised units would be making aggressive interior attack with the engine company and went to work making short work of the job. E34 and the Tanker established water supply as other units from SQ7 and E71 assisted with opening up. The assignment was held to units from Solomons and St Leonard. Units operated for approximately 2 hours. The cause of the fire was undermined
