As many slept in the late night hours units from Solomons and surrounding companies were dispatched to 11571 Sidewinder Ln in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates for the reported working house fire. First arriving unit Engine 31 secured its own hydrant and reported a working fire on the exterior of side Delta which had extended into the truss loft. The lineman stretched it primary line into the structure as other members began opening up ceilings to gain access to the truss loft and made short work of the bulk of the extension on the interior. Secondary members of the company arrived and pulled a 2nd line and when to work on the exterior of the residence to bringing the blaze under control within minutes of arrival. Companies operated on scene for approximately 3 hours completing overhaul operations and assisting the State Fire Marshall during the investigation phase of the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
