TJ Bridge Accident

At approximately 1622 hrs Calvert and St. Marys Fire and EMS stations were alerted to a head-on collision at the base of the TJ bridge on the Saint Marys side. Promptly Rescue 3 and Ambulance 37 responded to the scene. Once on scene crews met up with Lexington Park Ambulance 387 and began securing the vehicles and evaluating the patients. Ambulance 387 transported one patient to be airlifted by Trooper 7 and Ambulance 37 transported a patient to the local ER all with non-life threatening conditions. Engine 291 secured a landing site on Route 4 and Rescue 3's crew remained on scene cleaning up debris and securing the scene. All units cleared approximately an hour and half later.
