Our local friendly Spider-Man assisted the Solomons Volunteers today at the Navy Rec Center by providing a way for the children of our community and opportunity to cool off during this heat wave. Spider-Man manned an attack line with a fog nozzle supplied by Tanker 3 to disperse water so that all the children could have a fun and refreshing time cooling off on such a hot day. The Solomons Volunteers would like to remind everyone of the importance of staying cool and hydrated during these heat waves. Dehydration and Heat Exhaustion can onset very quickly without an individual even knowing. Make sure you are constantly taking in plenty of fluids and remind your children also to drink lots of water.
