After surviving the large amounts of calls from Hurricane Irene for the last few days crews were just being into relax this evening when both stations 3 and 7 were alerted to a T-Bone accident at the intersection of Route 4 and Cove Point. Promptly Rescue 3 with Sgt 3 in charge responded to the scene. Upon arrival two vehicles were found which resulted in a huge debris field having been created. Crews worked hard on securing the vehicles and as siting EMS with refusals and the packaging of one patient for a flyout. The patient was flown to PG shock trauma with none life threatening conditions. Crews remained on scene helping to clean up the scene and reopen north bound Route 4.
