The Solomons Volunteers stood by at the station for over 48 hours to ensure 100% coverage for all calls in the Solomons, Lusby and Dowell communities during the Blizzard of 2016. During this time Solomons responded to 26 calls for help from a structure fire in Saint Leonard to several Medical calls. During this time we also maintained the station as a point of safe refuge for anyone in the community who needed it.

The Solomons Volunteers are proud of being apart of their community and reminds everyone to be careful on the roads because the danger of black ice is still around as the snow melts and refreezes at night.
