On the brisk and windy evening of April 7, the volunteers of Solomons Rescue Squad and Fire Department got the opportunity to train and drill on Hose Line Management. This came directly after some very competitive speed rounds of Bunker Drills (donning Full Fire Gear in less than 2 minutes)in the Engine Bay, to keep its members conditioned to serve the community at its highest levels!
Lieutenant Trevor Gafecke led the evenings drill of over 20 members, ranging from Company 3's Chief, to some of our Junior Members. The hands on hose drill allowed the members to work on accuracy and proficiency while working for extended periods of time with heavy hose lines. It was educational, competitive and WET! A great time was had by all! Thursday night drills at Solomons Fire House is the place to be!
