Tonight at the annual Southern Maryland Fireman’s Association’s awards banquet members of Solomons were recognized by their fellow brothers and sisters for their dedication to the fire/rescue services. After a year of high profile events in the Solomons response area, 25 volunteer’s of the department were recognized with unit citations for two high profile events which made national news. A third presentation “The LaVerne Stewart Memorial, EMS Excellence/Awareness Award” was made to Vice President Crystal Bowen. These awards are tribute to the dedication of our volunteers. Solomons VRSFD would like to thank the Southern Md Fireman's Association for recognizing volunteer's for there accomplishment.
