During their meeting this past week the Calvert County Board of Commissioners proclaimed this week to be known as Emergency Medical Services week in Calvert County. The commissioners recognized Solomons and all of the other county departments on the services they perform for the community. Representatives from all the departments were present to receive this proclamation. This year's theme for Emergency Medical Services week has been "EMS Strong: Called to Care". The Solomons volunteers are honored by this recognition and thank the county board of commissioners for the proclamation.
