At approximately 0951 hrs company 3 and surrounding departments were dispatched to a residence reporting an electrical issue. Upon arrival Chief 3B advised Engine 33's crew to hook some ceiling above the area where the popping sound could be heard. Upon investigation it was determined that the wire in the ceiling was bare to the copper and the breakers were turned off and secured. Crew cleaned up the location and returned to service at 1025 hrs.
