At approximately 1526 hrs volunteers were alerted to a reported boat fire behind the Mill Creek Condos. Engine 33 arrived on the scene to find a fire inside the cabin of a sail boat. Chief 3 arrived on the scene and established command while St Marys Chief 7B arrived and was assign operations. St Marys engine 73 assisted Engine 33 with running the 400 ft attack line to the pier to extinguish. Command held support units from Solomons and Hollywood and Saint Leonard Squad 7 on scene. Upon arrival of Boat 3 to the scene foam was able to be applied to the fire. Ground units assisted with pumping the water out of the boat. Units operated for approximately 2 hours and then the scene was turned over to DNR.
