Today began a busy day for the Solomons Volunteers. After clearing the early morning bus accident this morning the Solomons Vounteers were hit hard with a long stretch of EMS calls in the afternoon. Beginning at 1630 hrs and continuing for over 6 hours the Solomons Volunteers were alerted to 10+ calls for service. Some of these calls were so close in dispatch that units from neighboring companies had to be utilized in order to cover the call volume due to all the EMS units already transporting patients. The Solomons Volunteers would like to thank our neighboring departments that assisted us during this time of increased call volume and helping out within our community.
