Solomons volunteers capped off a busy weekend of incidents and events by attending Solomons Island's annual blessing of the fleet in support of many mariners, their friends, and their families. Community support and training are a large part of our daily mission. As a precursor to the blessing, our department held two community CPR classes taught by volunteers, which certified 26 community members. Approximately 20 members also attended the Maryland Safe Boaters program put on by the Coast Guard Auxiliary over two days.
