The members of Solomons and units headed to Cobb Island in Charles County for the 65th Annual Southern MD Volunteer Firemans Parade. The crews had a excellent day hanging out with everyone at the event. Solomons was presented an award for the 2nd Best Appearing Special Unit. Thanks to the members which participated in the event, as well as the members which protected the Solomons, St. Leonard and Prince Frederick areas for the Rescue and Truck Companies while some of the other county departments participated in the festivities as well. Great job by all involved. On a more important note would also like to congradulate Bernard "Bernie" Shea Past Chief of Solomons VRSFD for being inducted into the Southern MD Vol. Fireman's Association Hall of Fame. Chief Shea we as members would like to thank you for your continuing service to the comunity and the department.
