Brian Bowen

Brian has been a member of The SVRSFD for 14 years! Brian has held multiple positions. Having started his membership as a basic firefighter/EMT, he has held every position from Sgt. to Captain and safety officer. Brian is currently serving his first year as the Deputy Chief of EMS and is doing many amazing things to help our department! Brian is being recognized as the Officer of the month for July! On any day, Brian can be found around the station running calls, helping train members, and always finding ways to help others. Brian is the definition of dedication to our community, and his passion for making our department better is present every time he walks in the door!

We asked Brian about his favorite parts of being a member of the SVRSFD and a volunteer, and here is what he said!

“ Some things I like about being a volunteer are helping the citizens in our area and other areas we help cover. I like being able to help when I have the time to do it. I enjoy being a member of Solomons because it’s fun and we get to run calls from basic calls to technical calls for service that require some thinking outside the box.”

Brian is an amazing and valuable part of our SVRSFD family, and we are lucky to have him every day!
