On Saturday, August 30, 2025, just after 4:00 p.m., a General Alarm was sounded for a large brush fire in the Nanjemoy area of southwest Charles County. The fire, which involved more than 14 acres of heavily wooded terrain, required a multi-agency response to bring it under control.

Brush 3, Utility 3, and UTV 3 responded with a crew of four members, providing support to units already on scene. Crews operated for approximately five hours alongside neighboring departments to contain and extinguish the fire.
