Karen Pardoe

Karen Pardoe has been a member of the SVRSFD for 35 years. Karen is being recognized as the Lifetime Member of the Month for September! Karen has held multiple operational and administrative positions within our department, including rescue captain, as well as the first female EMS Chief, and various administrative roles, such as corresponding secretary, where she developed our fund drive program. Karen has been doing her part for as long as most members can remember, helping our department and our community. Her pride for the SVRSFD and her passion to help people are unwavering, and we are so proud of all she has accomplished in her time as a member of the SVRSFD!

We asked Karen what some of her favorite aspects of volunteering and being a member of the SVRSFD were, and this is what she said.
”My favorite part of being a volunteer and a member of the SVRSFD is serving my community and spending time with my firehouse family, and also being able to do what I love alongside my husband, which is why I joined the department!”
Karen is truly one of the hearts of our SVRSFD family, and we are so lucky to have her every day!
