| Jonathan Dalrymple Jr., or “JJ” as he normally goes by around the station, has been a member of our department since 2023 and is being recognized as the member of the month for February! JJ is currently a Junior member. JJ can be found around the station regularly, training and running calls to serve the community. JJ is always ready to lend a helping hand and be there for one of his fellow volunteers. JJ is part of a long family history of service to the community and will surely be a great addition to his family's legacy of helping others!
We asked JJ what his favorite parts about being a volunteer and a member of the SVRSFD were, and this is what he said!
“The things I like about being a volunteer are learning new skills, training with the crews, and being able to help people when they need it most. I also enjoy the teamwork and the friendships I have built through the department. Being part of SVRSFD has strengthened my interest in the fire service, and I hope to continue growing and learning as I work toward becoming a full firefighter in the future.”
JJ is and will continue to be an amazing asset to our department as he grows his knowledge and skills and we are lucky to have him!! |
