Rescue Engine 3 get her stripes

Old Engine 31 Leaves

Today old Engine 31 left for its new home in Georgia. The same department who purchase Rescue 3 decided to also purchase Engine 31 so the two units will be reunited soon. Engine 31 placed in service

Tonight Engine 31 was officially placed in service with the traditional pushing it into the building. Engine 31 is a 2013 Rosenbauer Commander R711 chassis with a Cummins ISL9 450 HP motor and Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. Engine 31 will serve as our workhorse pumper as a first due pumper on most fires.

Kidde Recalls Smoke Detectors

These units are AC/DC powered and capable of hardwired interconnect. They have a Kidde logo on the face of the unit.

The model number is on the label on the back of the unit.

Identified Hazard: If a power outage occurs at the same second that a unit is performing a sensor health check, the unit may go into a “latched” mode, causing it not to alert to the presence of smoke. It will ... (Full Story & Photos)
