National Weather Service Alerts for Calvert County, MD

At approximately 1854 hrs Solomons and surrounding stations were alerted to a MVA at Coster Road and Route 4 reported serious. Promptly Squad 3, Engine 33, and Ambulance 39 responded. Upon arrival Chief 3A report a serious T-Bone accident with one patient trapped. Member Train on Engine 34

Tonight members of the department pulled out the new Engine 34 and conduct several training drills to include setting up a drafting site, drafting from the new pumper, and review water shuttling operations. The Solomons Volunteers are proud to announce that this year we were awarded the Maryland State Waterway Improvement Grant to assist with the replacement of Zodiac 3. Zodiac 3 has been a very valuable resource in our local waterways assisting in many rescues and events. Volunteers Win in Ocean City

Today the Solomons Volunteers participated in the annual Ocean City Fire Convention Parade. We were able to bring five trophies home to Solomons to include: Second Best Appearing Aerial, Second Best Appearing Engine, Second Best Appearing Ambulance and Honorable mentions for Brush 3 and Utility 3/UTV 3.
