Solomons MusicFest this Saturday

This Saturday Solomons VRSFD will play home to the Solomons Island Music Fest featuring bands such as Molly Hatchet, Swamp Da Wamp, and Brian Howe (Former Lead Singer from Bad Company). Pump Familiarization Drill

Tonite members took are ride over to Mill Creek Middle School where operators practiced with the pumps on the two new engines. Operators were provided the opportunity to utilize Engine 33 / Tanker 3 as a supply pumper drafting out of our of the 3,000 portable pond. Members Standby at Journey Concert

Members tonight headed down to the Calvert Marine Museum to provide stand by coverage for the Journey Concert. Proudly displaying Ambulance 38 for the first time to the community, many were impressed at how beautiful the unit turned out. Tiki Bar Host Luau for SVRSFD

The Tiki Bar this past Saturday hosted a Luau where all donations where given to the firehouse to be used towards the equipment that we utilize for operations. Members proudly attended the festivities in our new Class B uniforms to give our thanks to the community who so graciously donated to our cause. Drivers Training

Today members got up bright and early headed to Mill Creek Middle School to participate in a drivers rodeo. Here members have the opportunity to build up there skills and confidence in driving the equipment at Solomons. Additionally the goal of these recent rodeos has been to give drivers experience driving the new apparatus. All members in attendance took the Ambulance thru the road course testing ...
