A39 appears at First Responder Day

Today the Solomons Volunteers took Ambulance 39 over to the Patuxent River Naval Museum for First Responder Day. Along with many other local departments Ambulance 39 was on display to the community there at the museum. We pride ourselves on the mural on the side of the unit depicting Cedar Point Lighthouse in it prime days and were able to park it next to the Cupola that is on display. The members ... MVA with Motorcycle

At approximately 1553 hrs the Solomons Volunteers and neighboring departments were alerted to an MVA reported serious involving a motorcycle. Promptly Rescue 3 and Ambulance 38 responded. Upon arrival on location volunteers found a pickup truck which had a head on collision with a motorcycle. Ambulance 39 Photo Shoot

Over the past several years Solomons VRSFD has taken great pride in not only creating unique state of the art apparatus but also in capturing the history of Southern Maryland in murals on these vehicles. With Ambulance 39 we complete our ambulance series which displays murals of the three lighthouses of the Patuxent River. Out of the three lighthouses only one remains in the location it was built.

UTV 3 and Members respond to Dirt Bike Accident

At 1726 hrs units from Solomons and surrounding stations were alerted to the 11700 block of Mill Bridge Road in Lusby for an auto accident. While units were enroute Calvert 911 received supplemental information advising that it was going to be a ATV accident and that the patient was back on a trail about 1/2 mile back and not accessible easily.
