This week the Solomons Volunteers were featured in the local paper the Calvert County Times. The article is about the need for local volunteers in our community to help within the Fire/EMS service. Calvert County prides itself on being the last department within the state that is 100% volunteer but it order to keep it that way we need help from our local community. If you are looking for a place where you give back to the community, and organizations that pride themselves on history and community come join our local fire departments. Besides the many benefits the county provides us being a part of an organization such as Solomons it also helps a person to feel that they are helping others and giving back to the community.
