At around 1030hrs Solomons Volunteers responded to a patient who had a serious fall. Due to the patient's injuries EMTs consulted with the local trauma center in order to have the patient flown to the specialized facility. With the acceptance of the patient by the trauma center a helicopter was requested which brought Engine 31 to secure a landing site at the Ranch Estates airfield. One of our newest EMTs A.Wade got a chance to fly with the patient as they were transported.
