Firehouse Friday with T-Bone and Heather from STAR 98.3
On May 28^th T-bone and Heather from WSMD Star 98.3 broadcasted live from Solomon’s Station. We were the first of their Firehouse Fridays. Each Friday they are visiting a different firehouse in Southern Maryland and doing their radio broadcast from there. While at the station, they spoke on air to a couple of our members about what we do and the history of our department. Heather even tried climbing Truck 3 with Asst Chief Thomas, FF Radzyniak and FF McCarthy. We want to thank them for coming in and look forward to having them back in the future.

Our new Ambulance 37 has arrived at our station.
It is a 2010 Ford F-450 Super Duty chassis. The unit was built by Horton. There has been a change from the past units, as this new ambulance is painted red with white stripes and gold leaf lettering. This is replacing our 2002 F-450 Horton unit. We should have this unit in service within the next 2 weeks.
