The new Rescue Engine 3 made its first Solomons Debut today. The truck is a 2013 Rosenbauer Commander Chasis with 450 HP Cummins Engine. This vehicle will serve as Solomons new Rescue which will be due on all major automobile accidents in our area. This truck is unique in which it has a light tower that extends to light up the scene, a rear mounted deck gun, hopper for storing and distributing absorbent, Holmatro tool ports on all sides of the truck, and the first engine in the county with a rear mounted pump. Careful thought and care was made when designing this unit in order to make a piece that is both efficient and tactical for the volunteers of the department.
