At the peak of rush hour on Route 4 in front of the main station, Solomons members heard a large crash to find a two car rear end collision had occurred. Crews quickly pulled up on the scene with the Squad and with both the ALS and BLS ambulances. While assessing the scene there was a need to remove the driver side doors to gain access to safely remove a patient. Upon removal the patient was taken to a local trauma facility by Maryland State Police Aviation. Units remained on scene to assist with clean up and shortly returned to service.
