As one of the last surving charter members of the department, Robert Sealey has been a dedicated member to Solomons since it inception. Serving both as Ambulance Chief and President, Robert has dedicated himself in getting the department up and running ever since the department has housed in a metal shed.

Dedicated Member: Raymond Lankford

Year Dedicated: 2008
Raymond Lankford having served as both the president of the department and as one of the few that has represented Solomons as Southern Maryland president has been a dedicated committed member for over 50 years to the department. Mr. Lankford was modumentual in establishing our main station located at 13150 H.G. Trueman today.

Dedicated Member: Chris Franklin

Past Chief Chris Franklin has served as Chief and Chief Engineer during many monumental times during Solomons history. During Chris's term as Chief many critical pieces of apparatus were speced and purchased including serveral of the E-One engines and Boat 3. Chris continues to play a critical role within the department as Chief Engineer having suprvised many recent rehabs and the most recent purchases of our new Rosenbauer fleet.

Dedicated Member: Ricky Smith

Year Dedicated: 2011
Past EMS Chief Ricky Smith served as our last EMS Chief of the department before combining under on Chief. Chief Smith served as a dedicated EMT who ensure that our EMS program here at Solomons was never lacking. Due to his dedication and determination Chief Smith ensured that all members respected our job performed within our EMS division as much as our Fire division. Ambulace 37 was designed by Chief Smith and later was dedicated to him and named "The Underdog" after him.

Past Chief Robinson is both a dedicated volunteer and local charter fisherman both which is very passionate about. The Captain served as the Fire Chief here at Solomons and was very instrumental in establishing our mutual aide policy with Saint Marys County when the Thomas Johnson Bridge was opened in 1977 during his term in office. To this day you will always find Captain Robbie around the fire station with his coffee telling stories of the old times and how to properly pump an engine.

Dedicated Member: Bill Keefe

Year Dedicated: 2016
Member Bill Keefe has been a dedicated member to the department for many years. Serving also as a boat captain both for Solomons and the Calvert Marine Museum, Bill has touched many lives. In 2014, while captaining the Wm. B Tennison, Captain Keefe was returning from a scenic tour when he spoted a capsized vessel. As severe thunderstorms were approaching the area Keefe piloted the vessel and performed the rescue. Ambulance 38 proudly displays a mural of the lighthouse which is located at the Calvert Marine Musuem.

Dedicated Member: Larry Nuse

Past Chief Larry Nuse has been a dedicated member to the department for over 50 years. Serving also as the Vice President, Rescue Chief and Fire Chief, Larry has involved himself in every aspect of the department. To this day he continues to serve as our Safety Officer and can always be found servicing out gas meters and compressor. Engine 34 is proudly dedicated to Chief Nuse which runs out of our substation which is where you tend to find the Chief relaxing.

Dedicated Member: Walter Taylor
Dedicated Unit: Engine 31
Year Dedicated: 2020
Walter Taylor joined the Solomons Volunteers in 1988 as an eager and very active rookie and achieved his lifetime membership with the department in 2017. Additionally he served as a volunteer to Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department and a paid professional for Patuxent River Naval Base Fire Department serving in numerous roles and positions. Over his years he has been honor with countless life saves and heroic actions that changed peoples lives within the community. Walter commitment to community and helping others will never go unforgotten.

Year Dedicated: 2021
Past Chief Joseph Ford Sr. joined Solomons in 1993 and quickly completed many of the basic courses with the continuous drive to always expand his knowledge. In addition to his role as both a volunteer and paid professional with PG County, Joe always has strived to teach younger members the career field he has loved via either in-house training or as a MFRI instructor. Today even though retired from his career, Chief Ford continues to provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all our members within the department everyday.

Dedicated Member: John Pardoe
Dedicated Unit: Engine 33
Year Dedicated: 2021
Past Chief/President John Pardoe became a Solomons Volunteer in 1975. He has held many positions within the department demostrating his love and drive to grow the department into the success it has become today. In addtion to his love and drive for volunteerism he also was a paid firefighter with Naval District Washington until he retired in 2019. Today Johnny continues to commit countless hours to the department serving on many of the various committees providing a wealth and knowledge to guide our younger generation towards keeping the Solomons traditions and values alive.

Dedicated Member: Karen Pardoe

Year Dedicated: 2021
Past Chief Karen Pardoe joined the department in 1991 where she eagerly began her career in the EMS field. She held many positions within the department culminating when she began the Rescue Chief within the department and the first female Deputy Chief in the county. Even when injured in the line of duty, Chief Pardoe continued to give back to the department. Today she still particpates within various roles in the department to include runing the Sunshine committee whose job is to bring a little smile to everyones face.
