At approximately 1804 hrs Boat 3 and Tanker 3 were dispatched to a reported fire at Myrtle Point Park in California, Maryland. Crews arrived on location along with Bay District and Hollywood Volunteer Fire Departments to discover a large column of smoke in the area. A sizable fire was located on the beach within the park. Utilizing brush trucks from various departments and Boat 3 crews were able to quickly make a sizable attack on the fire. Additional tanker and boats units were requested for water supply while crews continued to work in the area hitting hot spots for approximately an hour and a half.
