Annual RIT and Mayday Training

SVRSFD held it's annual RIT and mayday training this evening. Our members will be able to utilize these courses all month. This training allows our members to complete obstacle courses and make decisions as if they were in a real incident. One Overturned

At 1847 hrs the Solomons Volunteers were alerted to H.G Trueman Road and Village Center Drive for the MVA reported overturned. Shortly after dispatch Chief 3 arrived on location to find the same with all subjects out of both vehicles. Rec Center Camper Fire
Public Information Officer Norman Rea, December 28
At approximately 1900 hours the Solomons Volunteers were dispatched for the reported commercial vehicle fire. Chief 3 arrived on scene to find a 18' tow behind camper with fire in the rear of the unit. Quickly command was established and Engine 33 arrived deployed an attack line to extinguish the fire. Weis Electrical Fire

Electrical Fire
At approximately 0720 hrs the Solomons Volunteers were dispatched for a reported electrical fire at Weis Markets. Quickly Engine 34 responded. Chief 3A arrived on the scene and established command. Stove Fire

At approximately 0100 hrs the Solomons Volunteers were dispatched for a reported stove fire. Quickly Engine 34 responded. Safety Officer 3A arrived on the scene side alpha with fire showing. While Chief 3 established the working fire command the crew from Engine 34 pulled a crossly to the front door to begin extinguishment of the fire. Liliah and Shiloh's Lemonade Stand

SVRSFD had very special guests this evening. Alexis Owens brought her two daughters down to the station for our monthly business meeting this evening. Last month Liliah and Shiloh Owens stood outside of their home selling Lemonade to raise money to donate to our department.
