At 1045 hrs St. Mary's County 911 alerted their county units to a fire in the 36300 block of Notley Woods Lane in the Chaptico area for a basement fire. During the alarm Solomons Squad 3 was alerted to St. Mary's County for a gas leak. At 2013 hrs Calvert 911 alerted Solomons and surrounding companies to the 12700 block of Blair Road in the first due for a reported shed on fire. Crews from Solomons and St. Leonard arrived on location at the same time to find a 10x15 shed fully involved. At 1757 hrs Calvert 911 alerted crews from Solomons and surrounding stations to the 11100 block of Mill Bridge Road in the Lusby area for a reported chimney fire. Truck 3 arrived to find a 2 story home with a crawl space with light smoke showing on Side Charlie. On Sunday, December 10th, 2023, at 4:34 PM Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 1395 Gregg rd. Chief 3 arrived on scene to find a two-story house with flames through the roof on the Charlie Delta corner. Minutes later Truck 3 and Engine Tanker 3 arrived on scene and commenced fire attack. On November 3 Engine Company 3 Transferred to Baltimore City to Provide coverage while they paid respect to there fallen officer.
Engine 34 was transferred to Engine 45. During the transfer Engine 34 handled 6 runs. With 2 of them being Fires.

Engine Transfers To Baltimore city

On Friday October 27th the Engine Company transferred to Baltimore City Engine Company 4 so that members of Company 4 could attend the services of fallen Firefighter Rodney Pitts. At approximately 1531 Rescue squad 3 was Dispatched to the TJ bridge for a report of a motor vehicle collision with subjects trapped. Rescue Squad 3 arrived on location confirming a head on collision with 2 vehicles, with one trapped in each. Squad 3 began a side blowout on one vehicle.
