Solomons Units Assist at Large Scale Multi-Vehicle Fire in St. Mary’s County

At 1552 hours, Solomons Truck 3 (R. Lacey), Squad 3 (Bretz), and Chief 3 (Velazquez) were dispatched to assist on St. Mary’s Box 7-14H in the 43900 block of Commerce Avenue. Upon arrival, units encountered approximately 100 vehicles involved in fire conditions and requested the box be filled for additional resources. First Area Box of 2026

The Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department responded to the first area box of the year for a reported vehicle fire threatening a residence in the 11500 block of Senora Lane.
Calvert ECC dispatched Solomons and the surrounding departments to the incident. Chief 10 (Shannon) arrived on scene and confirmed three vehicles on fire in the driveway of the residence.
