At approximately 0100 hrs the Solomons Volunteers were dispatched for a reported stove fire. Quickly Engine 34 responded. Safety Officer 3A arrived on the scene side alpha with fire showing. While Chief 3 established the working fire command the crew from Engine 34 pulled a crossly to the front door to begin extinguishment of the fire. Liliah and Shiloh's Lemonade Stand

SVRSFD had very special guests this evening. Alexis Owens brought her two daughters down to the station for our monthly business meeting this evening. Last month Liliah and Shiloh Owens stood outside of their home selling Lemonade to raise money to donate to our department. New York Trip

On November 5th, 2022 SVRSFD organized a trip to New York City for it's members to visit Ground Zero and the 911 Memorial Museum. This was such a true honor to be a part of and we thank our Department for making such a trip happen. It was such a blessing to be a part of recognizing all of our Fallen Heroes and Victims of 911. Serious Crash at Base of Bridge

Public Information Officer Norman Rea, September 21

At approximately 2039 hrs the Solomons Volunteers were alerted to an MVA at the base of the bridge reported as serious. Quickly crews manned Ambulance 38, Ambulance 39, Squad 3 and Engine 31 to respond to the scene.

House Fire

At approximately 1130 hrs the Solomons Volunteers were dispatched for the reported Structure Fire. Engine 34 and Truck 3 arrived on scene first to see smoke coming from the vent and a window in the attic. Engine 34 crew quickly laid a supply line and attack lines and extinguished the fire within minutes. Engine 31 arrived and picked up 34’s line and established water supply. Mutual Aid arrived and ... Water Rescue Training

On July 10, 2022 SVRSFD conducted a drill on Water Rescue techniques utilizing Boat 3, SVRSFD Zodiac, SLVFD, and CALS Medic Boat. Our crews reviewed line tying skills, waterborne rescues, and a very special thank you to St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department for coming out with their Zodiac to help assist in our drill.
