SVRSFD Raffle Two Trolling rods with Reels

We will be having some small raffles over the next few weeks. We will be out selling side-by-side tickets as plenty are left until they are sold out.

Tickets are for $20 each, and only 50 will be sold. Drawing will happen once all the tickets are sold via a FaceBook live event that will be announced on our Facebook page. This will be an online-only event. There will be no physical tickets.

On Tuesday, Jan 14th, at approximately 2250 hours, Solomons Volunteers were dispatched to the 11000 Block of Redlands Rd in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates (the Ranch Club) for a vehicle explosion; the assignment was immediately upgraded to a full Area Box as the vehicle fire was threatening the home. A38 attends Wreaths Across America

On December 14, 2024, at 4 AM, three volunteers loaded into vehicle A38 and proceeded to Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall to assist with Wreaths Across America. A38 staged with Bryans Road A119 during the standby phase. During the event, A38 transported one patient to Virginia Hospital Center. awarded a Port Security Grant to aid in replacing current Fire Boat 3!

The new vessel a MetalCraft Marine Firestorm 36 will replace current Fire boat 3 which was

Co.3 Attends South End Water Supply Drill

Your Solomons Volunteers attended the south-end water supply drill on Thursday night. Engine-Tanker 3, Truck 3, and Squad 3 loaded up with 14 volunteers and headed to St. Leonard Company 7 to begin the drill. The drill included members from Co.7, Co.2, and an Officer from North Beach.

Just shortly after 0100 hrs, the Solomons Volunteers were alerted to St Mary’s Area Box 715 for the reported house on fire. Crews quickly manned the Truck and Engine Tanker with 9 volunteers and made their way to St Mary’s. Engine Tanker assists St. Mary’s with multiple brush fires

At 1806 hours Engine Tanker 3 was dispatched to St. Mary’s County to assist with a large brush fire on Nancy Ln in California. While en route crews from Bay District VFD were able to contain the fire to a 25’x25’ area and held units currently on scene.
