Today the Solomons Volunteers shined up the trucks and headed down to Bay District to participate in the annual Southern Maryland Fireman's Convention. This is the first time this convention and parade was held in person since the start of the pandemic. The volunteers proudly displayed our lineup to include the first year the new Brush unit was in the parade. During the parade both the Truck and Squad took second place for the best appearing units in their categories and the UTV took the award for best appearing in its category. Finally during the games the members participated in the team of Lieutenant Case, Sergeant Hooper and EMT Sanders took first place in the EMS competition.
We are so proud of our members who represented our department and the awards we took home.
