At 2320 Anne Arundel County 911 alerted units to Box 9-1. Engine 11 which was staffed with 4 Solomons volunteers that were providing coverage for their annual Banquet responded from AA County Station 9 as the first due engine due to being on a transfer because other South County units were on a 2 alarm fire already. The crew on Engine 11 arrived to find a 2 story home on a basement with a house fully involved. Crews laid a line and advanced hand lines for an exterior operation. Crews operated on the scene till 4am. The crew that was on the fill in returned to Solomons at 0530.
