Skuyler Nero

Skuyler Nero has been a member of Solomons for 8 years! Skuyler is currently an active ambulance driver and EMT, staffing the ambulance frequently! Skuyler is being recognized as our April Active/Regular Member of the Month! Skuyler has been an active and driven member since the day he joined! From growing up around the station with his family, who are also members, to spreading his wings and earning his driver certifications and his EMT card, Skuyler has been a large piece of what makes our department so amazing! His love for EMS and the upkeep of our ambulances is unmatched! He loves helping new members go over the ambulance to be cut loose as well as helping new drivers with their driving checkoffs. Skuyler has had multiple accomplishments, such as volunteer of the year in 2021, as well as being in the top runners for multiple years!

We asked Skuyler to share some of his favorite things about being a volunteer and a member of SVRSFD, and this is what he said!

“My favorite thing about being a volunteer is helping my community and being there for people in need. My favorite part of being a member is the fact I have an amazing extended family!”

We are beyond lucky and proud to have Skuyler as a member of our department, and we can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in the future!
