Kytalin Johnson has been a member of Solomons VRSFD since April of 2024! Kyt is being recognized as the August Regular Member of the Month! Since joining our department, Kyt has gained her National and MD EMT certification. She can be found frequently riding the ambulance and providing care to the community. As well as helping new members learn the ambulance and completing unit check-offs! Kyt is always ready to lend a helping hand and uses her kindness to help people every day!

We asked Kyt about her favorite parts of volunteering and being a member of the SVRSFD, and this is what she said!

“ I joined with a passion to help my community. One of my favorite things about being a volunteer is the ability to take care of those in need. Knowing that I can be there and make a difference within my community makes all the difference to me. The other best thing about being a volunteer is all the memories and lifelong friendships made within the department. Being able to have these friendships creates a second family I can count on, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Kyt is truly an asset to our SVRSFD family, and we are beyond proud to have her!
