Sal has been a member of the SVRSFD for a year. Sal is being recognized as the regular member of the month for September! Sal is currently serving as the assistant quartermaster and has been a significant contributor to the restructuring and organization of our gear supply. Sal can be found around the station riding as an aide on the ambulance, helping our quartermaster with gear, and attending drills and training to gain more knowledge! Sal’s smile and warm personality can make anyone feel welcome, and he always wants to help anyone in need!
We asked Sal what his favorite parts about being a volunteer and a member of the SVRSFD were, and this is what he said!
“I’ve been a member for a year and have enjoyed every day so far. My favorite part about being a volunteer is being able to serve my community. My favorite part about being a member is the friendships I’ve made here as well as becoming a part of the SVRSFD family.”
