On December 8, 2025, the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department marked the end of an era as they closed the chapter on another ambulance that had served the community of Solomons and the greater area for over eight years. This ambulance had been a steadfast companion in countless emergency responses, providing essential care to those in need.

Thanks to the excellent support of Nick at Apparatus and Equipment Solutions, the squad found a great partner in need of a reliable unit. That partner turned out to be Quality Care Ambulance Inc., located in Ponce, Puerto Rico. With a commitment to delivering exceptional emergency services, Quality Care Ambulance Inc. was excited to welcome this new addition to its fleet.

On that memorable December day, a representative from Quality Care Ambulance Inc. came to the station to take delivery of the well-loved unit. As the keys were handed over, the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department reflected on the legacy of service the ambulance had provided and felt a sense of pride in passing it on to a team that would continue its mission.

Now, this ambulance was ready to support the citizens of Ponce, Puerto Rico, carrying forward its legacy of care and dedication. The journey of this trusted vehicle was far from over; it was simply transitioning into a new role, ready to make a difference in another community.
