At approximately 2017 hrs local stations we alerted to a residence with a potential chimney fire located on Soundings Rd. Promptly Engine 31 and Truck 3 responded. While responding dispatch advised that there was light smoke on the first floor of the residence. While en-route Tanker 3 and Engine 34 marked up and responded. Engine 31 and Truck 3 arrived on location advising of a single family two story dwelling with light white smoke on the first floor of the residence. Crews immediately went to work laddering the building and extinguishing the burning debris within the chimney. The crew from Truck then worked on establishing ventilation while the crew from the Engine checked for extension of the fire. After overhauling the residence and not find an extension, crews cleaned up the scene and returned to service at 2059 hrs. During this time ambulance crews also responded to a call to the urgent care facility with transport to Saint Marys.
